Clear expectations. No surprises.
Effective date: April 18, 2026. These terms apply to every client working with EditorsUnited. By subscribing to any package or submitting a project, you agree to the terms below.
1. Packages and turnaround
We offer three subscription packages: Starter (7 videos/month, 5-business-day turnaround), Growth (15 videos/month, 3-business-day turnaround), and Scale (30 videos/month, 48-hour turnaround). Turnaround begins when we receive all raw footage and creative direction. Delays caused by late or incomplete footage delivery are not our responsibility.
2. Revisions
Included revisions per video: Starter — 1 round, Growth — 2 rounds, Scale — unlimited. Revision requests must be submitted within 5 business days of delivery. Major scope changes (e.g. full re-edits with new footage, new format) are treated as new projects and may be subject to additional fees.
3. Billing and subscriptions
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in Canadian dollars (CAD) via Stripe. Applicable taxes (GST, QST, HST) are added based on your billing address. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to automatically charge your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel. If we change package pricing, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect on their next renewal. Invoices are available anytime through your Stripe customer portal.
4. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel at any time through your Stripe customer portal or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged for the next cycle. We do not offer refunds for partially used periods. If a batch has not yet started, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate.
5. Content ownership and portfolio use
Upon full payment, you own the final edited videos and may use them on any platform. EditorsUnited retains a non-exclusive right to use the edited content for portfolio, promotional, and marketing purposes — including on our website, social media, and in client presentations. If you prefer your content not to be featured, notify us in writing before the project begins and we will honour that request.
6. Raw footage and file delivery
Clients are responsible for providing raw footage in a timely manner and in an accessible format (Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, Frame.io, or similar). We are not responsible for files lost or corrupted in transit from the client. Edited files are delivered via a shared folder link and remain available for 30 days after delivery. Please download and archive your files promptly.
7. Communication
All project communication happens by email at [email protected]. We respond within 24 hours on business days (Monday to Friday). We operate in English and French — let us know your preference at the start of the project.
8. Client content responsibility
You are solely responsible for the raw footage and creative direction you provide. EditorsUnited will not edit footage that contains illegal content, hate speech, content that infringes third-party rights (music, trademarks, likeness), or content that violates platform terms of service. We reserve the right to decline or terminate any project at our discretion.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EditorsUnited's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or reputation.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute arising from these terms or from our services will be heard exclusively in the courts of the District of Montreal, Quebec.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
